Gony Zubizarreta and Carol Henrique have taken out the 2017 Pro Zarautz, in the Basque Country, Spain. The surfer from Galicia defeated Jorgann Couzinet in a tactical final witnessed by hundreds of fans. The French started strong with two high-scoring waves, but Zubizarreta turned the heat and claimed his second consecutive win in Qualifying Series (QS) event. “I was just enjoying having a great time with Aritz, Hodei and all the boys. Jorgann started with two good scores, and I really thought I’d get comboed, but I stayed patient and finally got my waves,” explained Gony Zubizarreta.
