Yago Dora claimed the 2017 Maitland and Port Stephens Toyota Pro, at Merewether Beach, in New South Wales, Australia. The all-Brazilian final lined Dora up against his fellow countryman Jesse Mendes, but took his time before launching the critical air assault. First with an 8.83, and then with a Perfect 10-point ride. “I don’t think it has really sunk in yet. Having that final with Jesse was funny because the last time we surfed against each other, he smashed me, so it was awesome to get one back on him,” revealed Yago Dora.
