Taumata Puhetini and Bruno Santos have earned a golden ticket for the Billabong Pro Tahiti 2015, in Teahupoo. The Air Tahiti Nui Billabong Pro Trials are over. The wildcard competition got underway in three-to-four foot Teahupoo waves. A total of 16 surfers tried their luck, but only a couple will join the elite. Puhetini defeated Santos in the final. It’s his third victory in the Trials while the Brazilian celebrates his fifth wildcard into the event. The Tahitian wants to forget the wipeout suffered last year in Round 2.
