The world’s best surfing achievements in 2014 have been highlighted at the 2015 World Surf League (WSL) Awards, a ceremony held in Coolangatta, Australia. Wetsuits were left at home, as the planet’s most successful wave riders wore their tuxedos and gala dresses. Gabriel Medina, Stephanie Gilmore, Mick Fanning, Tyler Wright, Harley Ingleby, Chelsea Williams, Vasco Ribeiro and Mahina Maeda showed their 2014 world titles to the photographers. “It is because of my support team that I’m here tonight. My family, my friends, my fellow surfers on tour and my country. Brazil never had a world champion before,” expressed Medina.
