A survivor. A lucky man. Tom Dosland is the man of the moment. After nearly escaping death by guillotine, the big wave surfer from Maui says he’s ready… to get back to Jaws. The American poet Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Always do what you are afraid to do.” Tom Dosland survived a 40-foot wipeout at Peahi’s death-defying sports arena, but the episode didn’t change his plans for the near future. On December 31st, 2012, Tom had already suffered a painful wipeout at Jaws, but this one shocked the world. What happened? Why did Dosland free-fall from the top of that giant wave? How can he still be alive?
