Professional surfer Jo Dennison has had the privilege to ride the first ever wave pumped at Surf Snowdonia, in Conwy Valley, Wales. Europe’s first public surf pool is finally filled with water, and the initial surfing trials took place on the 14th July 2015. The team behind Surf Snowdonia won’t forget this day. After thirteen months of works, it’s time to turn the wave machine on. Tech specialists confirm that wave power of up to 50% was achieved, but the Wavegarden system has to be gently “run in” before 100% power is reached.
