Kelly Slater and Mick Fanning have been relegated to Round 2, in the Rip Curl Pro Portugal 2013, held in three-to-five foot (1 – 1.5 metre) waves, at Supertubos, Peniche. Jacob Willcox caused another major upset this morning, relegating 11-time ASP World Champion and current ASP WCT No. 2, Kelly Slater, into the elimination Round 2. “It was pretty fun out there, I got a couple of good ones. I was stoked to get the opportunity to surf against those guys in the Trials, let alone win so I’m really happy”, says Willcox.
