Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa set a new Guinness World Record for the largest wave ever ridden. The athlete from Guaruja beat Garrett McNamara’s 2011 wave by two feet. The world’s best big wave surfers gathered in Santa Monica for the 2018 World Surf League (WSL) Big Wave Awards. The show at the Red Bull Headquarters awarded the best rides of the past year, including a new world record from Brazil’s Rodrigo Koxa.
