Newcastle has broken the Guinness World Record for the most surfboards laid end to end on a beach. A total of 608 surfboards were lined up along Nobbys Beach, Australia, during the 30th anniversary edition of the Surfest. The previous Guinness World Record stood at 398 surfboards, i.e., 783.5 meters of lined up boards, and it was achieved in 2014, at Port Noarlunga Beach, in Adelaide.
