Michel Bourez conquered the 2014 Vans World Cup of Surfing, in triple overhead waves, at Sunset Beach. The Tahitian surfer defeated Dusty Payne, Sebastian Zietz and Ian Walsh in the four-man final. He ended up taking the second jewel of the Triple Crown of Surfing with a total score of 18.13 points. “It took a lot to get that win today, but I just tried to stay positive and tell myself that there’s always a chance and an opportunity. I really wanted to come here and get a big result so I can finish the year really well,” underlined Bourez.
