She won four ASP Women’s World Tour titles in a row from 1994 to 1997. Lisa Andersen is the star of the third annual SurfAid Cup Malibu, to be surfed on the 6th September, 2014. At 45, the New York surfer girl is back in the competitive line-up. Lisa Andersen started surfing at 13, when professional female surfing was still a mirage. After winning 35 National Scholastic Surfing Association trophies in eight months, the blonde wave rider embarked on a pro career and only retired in 2001.
