The first ever Indian Open of Surfing will hit at Panambur Beach, Mangalore, between May 29th-31st, 2015. The event is run by the Surfing Federation of India, and it is inspired by the US Open of Surfing and the Australian Open of Surfing. There will be official judging under the supervision of the International Surfing Association (ISA). “The aim of the event is to promote Karnataka beaches, as adventure destinations suitable for surfing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, stand up paddling and various other water adventure sports,” explains co-founder of the Surfing Federation of India.
