Gabriel Medina confirmed his place on the quarterfinals of the Quiksilver Pro France 2014, at Les Guardians. After narrowly escaping defeat in Round 3 against Jeremy Flores, the young Brazilian surfer won his Round 4 challenge against Josh Kerr and John John Florence, in clean three-to-five foot (1-1.5 meter) waves. “With the swell increasing this afternoon, there is a lot of water moving and it’s easy to get lost out there. Lucky I found some opportunity and was able to have a better heat than the one I had this morning. Hopefully, we get some good waves tomorrow,” explained Medina.
