Gabriel Medina will be fined for his incident with Glenn Hall during the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast 2015. The World Surf League (WSL) Rules and Disciplinary Committee decided that, “following conversations with both parties involved as well as reviewing broadcast footage, (it was) determined that Medina was in violation of the athlete Code of Conduct.” In other words, the 2014 ASP World Tour champion will be able to compete at the Rip Curls Bells Beach 2015. The World Surf League believes that the use of the f-word in the post-heat interview can be excused.
