The second day of competition at the 2015 Vans World Cup of Surfing got underway in spectacular Hawaiian conditions, with waves hitting 20 feet plus. In one of the most exciting heats of Round 2, Ezekiel Lau, Jamie O’Brien, Patrick Gudauskas and Leonardo Fioravanti used all their knowledge to tackle the big surf and move through to the next phase. Lau, who was chasing a semifinal finish at Sunset Beach to requalify for the Championship Tour, fell .06 points short to O’Brien’s final ride, and will give all he’s got in the upcoming Pipe Invitational.
