 Filipe Toledo has taken out the 2018 Oi Rio Pro, at Barrinha Beach, in Saquarema, Brazil. The Brazilian wonder boy defeated Wade Carmichael in the final held in four-to-six foot (1.2 -1.8 meters) waves. There were no airs, but a lot of barrels. Filipe won the sixth Championship Tour (CT) event of his career. Toledo put the Australian in a combination situation with a near-perfect 9.93 point wave and then backed it up with a 7.17. He was the most in-form surfer of the entire event.
