Carissa Moore won the Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach 2015. The Hawaiian defeated Stephanie Gilmore in a tight final, and she is the first female surfer to win three consecutive titles in the Australian break. In their 21st matchup in pro surfing, Moore and Gilmore gave all they had. Stephanie opened with a sharp 8.77-point ride for a series of powerful turns, but Carissa answered with just two waves: an 8.00 and a 6.00. “It’s such an honor; I love coming down here, and it’s such a magical place. It’s just been such a beautiful experience, and I feel super blessed. It’s challenging not only to regroup after a win, but you’re also competing against the best in the world, so you really have to be in tip-top shape,” revealed Carissa Moore.
