There’s a new surf documentary about West Africa. “Beyond” is a three-month long discovery through Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal and Gambia. Mario Hainzl made his debut as film director with the award-winning masterpiece “The Old, the Young & the Sea,” an inspiring journey along the Atlantic coast of France, Spain and Portugal. Now, he believes lineups are getting crowded because surfers have never really dared to travel. Discovering Africa is diving into a magical arena of empty peaks and perfect peeling wave spots.
