Stephanie Louise Gilmore is preparing to enter the history of surfing for the best reasons. The Australian natural footer was born on the 29th January, 1988, and has already collected four world surfing titles. Layne Beachley has concluded her professional career with seven world trophies under the belt. Gilmore is too young to be stopped and her skills excel in many wave categories. Sometimes, it looks like Stephanie Gilmore should be competing against Kelly Slater, Taj Burrow, Mick Fanning, John John Florence and friends. The blonde surfer girl stands out for her very distinctive pace, wave analysis and remarkable real-time decision taking. Even under extreme pressure. “Surfing is my passion, my hobby, my career, my job. It’s an escape”. Interestingly, Gilmore started surfing with a bodyboard.
