Round 1 and the opening two heats of Round 2 of the Billabong Pro Tahiti, Event No. 5 of 10 on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour season, were completed today in shifting three-to-five foot (1–1.5 metre) waves at Teahupo’o and while the conditions didn’t exactly mirror last year’s “historic” offering, the infamous lefthander and the performances of the world’s best surfers delivered nonetheless.
