In 2011, the Hawaiian waterman put Nazaré in the world’s most relevant newspapers, TV stations and surf magazines. The serene Portuguese town showed all its wave potential and the Guinness World of Records confirmed it. One year later, Garrett McNamara surfed another giant wall.
