The 2013 ASP World Tour has kicked off with Round 1 of the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast, at Rainbow Bay, Australia. Clean two-to-three foot (one metre) waves greeted the world’s best surfers and the first performances demonstrate that the season has a lot on offer. Travis Logie, 32, took top honors posting the day’s high heat total of an 18.20 out of a possible 20 for a series of critical backhand combinations.
