Mark Occhilupo, Tom Curren and Martin Potter will be surfing together at the 2012 Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy, at Kuda Huraa. “I’m absolutely looking forward to competing against those two. I know they will be training for it. I surfed against Pottz at Snapper in a exhibition heat and he was on fire and Curren is always brilliant”, says Occy. In the inaugural 2011 edition of the Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy, the former world champion won all four divisions. Now, Occhilupo is looking forward to get back on the ASP World Tour and it’s not inconceivable that the powerful goofy footer could rejoin the elite ranks in 2013. “After Margaret River, I went to Trestles not expecting a result, it was more of a stopover on the way to Brazil but it happened”, adds Occhilupo.
